On April 27, 2024, Ajar-ajar Sg Long successfully hosted a Character Education Initiative program themed “Cherish– Appreciate Every Connection in Life.” The event brought together 80 participants, including volunteers, students, parents, and generous sponsors, all united in a heartwarming and meaningful gathering.
Through creative games and lively performances, children gained a deeper understanding of the importance of appreciating all relationships and the beauty of life around them. The camp’s fun, interactive format helped sow seeds of empathy, gratitude, and respect in each child’s heart.
One of the highlights was the book-swapping activity, where children joyfully shared their own books. This act of sharing not only encouraged environmental awareness and resourcefulness but also strengthened the bonds between participants. Thoughtfully prepared gifts were also presented to all students and volunteers as a token of appreciation and encouragement.
In the parent-child interaction session, parents and children worked together to create a “Parent-Child Agreement Plan,” which promoted open communication and mutual understanding within families. This meaningful moment deepened emotional connections and nurtured stronger, more loving relationships.
