On 24th February, the last day of Lunar New Year, the Chap Goh Mei party was successfully held by Ajar-ajar with a total of 70 participants attended. The party began with an opening remarks delivered by President of Ajar-ajar Malaysia, Mr. Lai Peng Keong and then kicked off with a series of spectacular performances showcasing the talents of our youth.
The main highlight of the day is the traditional activity of Prosperity Toss, also known as lo sahng. Volunteers have prepared a very long lo sahng for the participants to cheer for the new year, as it is believed to bring good luck and fortune in the coming year.
Later, inspirational talk given by Mdm. Yeoh Koay Phing truly inspired our volunteer and youth to live for a greater purpose. Her talk also enlightened the youth to find our own life purpose and strengthen the importance of self-growth too in both internal and external aspects. Not forgetting to remind the youth to give back to society in the future.
The party was then officially ended with exciting games session, which really brought up the fun and lively Chinese New Year atmosphere once again.
